A condo cleaning visit works best when the cleaning tasks and building arrangements are clear before the team arrives. This guide helps Toronto condo residents prepare for regular cleaning, a detailed first visit or a move-in and move-out clean.
Start with the rooms and priorities
Tell us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, whether the unit is occupied, and the areas needing extra attention. A regular visit can cover kitchen and bathroom surfaces, dusting, vacuuming and mopping. For a deep clean, discuss baseboards, detailed fixtures and hard-to-reach areas. Oven, fridge and cabinet interiors should be included explicitly in the agreed scope.
Confirm building access
Check your building's visitor and contractor procedures. Share the concierge instructions, entrance to use and any sign-in requirements. Arrange keys or an approved entry method before the appointment. Let the team know how to reach you if access changes. Keep entry codes and other private access information out of public comments.
Plan parking and elevators
Tell us where the team can park and whether loading rules apply. If your building requires an elevator reservation, arrange it with management and share the permitted time. A move-out visit may need coordination with movers so that rooms and appliances are accessible when cleaning starts.
Prepare the unit
Put valuables away and point out delicate finishes or surfaces with special care instructions. Clear everyday clutter where practical so agreed surfaces can be reached. If you request carpet or upholstery shampooing, discuss furniture access and drying time before the visit. Mention pets and any areas the cleaners should avoid.
