Do Cleaners Bring Their Own Supplies? Arvand’s Cleaning Equipment Explained

Yes. Arvand Group Cleaning supplies all cleaning tools, equipment and cleaning products needed for the agreed service. You do not need to purchase a vacuum, steam cleaner or cleaning solutions before your appointment. Our equipment includes different types of vacuum cleaners, powerful hot-steam machines and strong cleaning products selected for the task and surface.

For kitchens and bathrooms, we use single-use cleaning materials, such as disposable wiping materials, to support hygiene during the work. Reusable machines and durable tools are a separate category; a vacuum or steam machine is not a disposable item.

If you are arranging house cleaning in Aurora, Toronto or the GTA, here is what to expect, what to tell us before the visit and how equipment selection relates to your cleaning scope.

What Arvand brings to the appointment

Arvand provides the supplies and equipment for the work agreed in your booking. Our equipment and product range includes:

  • Different types of vacuum cleaners for the appropriate cleaning tasks.

  • Powerful hot-steam cleaning equipment for suitable surfaces and applications.

  • Cleaning solutions for detailed cleaning and stubborn buildup.

  • Task-appropriate tools for reachable corners, edges and other detailed areas.

  • Single-use cleaning materials for kitchen and bathroom work.

The team selects equipment according to the property and booked tasks. Having access to several machines does not mean every machine needs to be used in every room. A small maintenance visit and a detailed cleaning project may require different combinations.

When requesting your estimate, tell us which surfaces or items need attention. We can then discuss the equipment and method appropriate to the service, rather than bringing an unsuitable tool simply because it is powerful.

Single-use materials for kitchens and bathrooms

The kitchen and bathroom are different work areas with different types of residue. Kitchen surfaces may have food debris or grease, while bathroom surfaces need attention to toilet areas, fixtures and soap buildup.

Arvand uses disposable cleaning materials for these areas. Single-use materials are intended for one use and disposal; they are not kept for repeated wiping across future customer appointments. Bathroom wiping materials should not be repurposed for kitchen surfaces.

The purpose is a clear, practical hygiene process. Disposable wiping materials do not mean that the vacuum cleaner, steam machine or every durable accessory is thrown away after a visit. They also do not replace correct cleaning technique or a product’s instructions.

If you have questions about the materials used for a particular room, raise them before the appointment so we can explain the planned approach.

Different vacuum cleaners for different tasks

Vacuuming needs vary between hard floors, carpeted rooms, edges and upholstered surfaces. Our range of vacuum cleaners allows us to select equipment suited to the agreed work.

Tell us about stairs, rugs, delicate floors, pet hair or items with specific care instructions. Access matters too: a vacuum cannot reach underneath furniture if the clearance is too low or belongings block the area.

Vacuuming removes loose material. It is different from carpet shampooing, upholstery extraction or mattress cleaning. If you want a sofa or carpet wet-cleaned, name that service when requesting the quote rather than assuming it is included in ordinary vacuuming.

Our deep cleaning checklist explains how to identify individual tasks and extras before booking.

Powerful hot-steam equipment—used where appropriate

Arvand has powerful hot-steam machines available for suitable cleaning applications. The decision to use steam depends on the surface, its condition and the manufacturer’s care instructions.

Heat and moisture are not suitable for every material or finish. Tell us about delicate flooring, recently refinished surfaces, adhesives, damaged sealant or other care concerns before work starts. Equipment strength is useful only when the method is appropriate for the item being cleaned.

We do not treat the word “steam” as a promise that every surface will be sterilized or every mark will disappear. Any specific disinfection requirement should be discussed separately, including the appropriate method and instructions for the surface.

Strong cleaning products do not mean one product for everything

Different residue needs different treatment. Grease on a compatible kitchen surface, soap buildup around a shower and dirt along a floor edge are not identical tasks.

Arvand has strong cleaning solutions available for detailed work, but product selection should follow the surface and product directions. More concentrated is not automatically better, and a strong product should not be applied indiscriminately to delicate materials.

Health Canada advises reading and following household chemical labels. It also warns never to mix bleach with other cleaning products because dangerous gases can result. See its household chemical safety guidance.

If you have a preferred product, fragrance sensitivity or care instructions from the manufacturer, let us know before the visit. We can discuss whether the preference is compatible with the work requested. Avoid assuming that a “natural” label or a pleasant fragrance proves suitability for every household.

Cleaning and disinfecting are separate processes

Cleaning removes dirt and residue. Disinfecting uses an appropriate product according to its directions. The Public Health Agency of Canada recommends cleaning surfaces before disinfecting and using approved disinfectants as instructed, including the required contact time. Read its cleaning and disinfecting guidance.

Supplying equipment and disposable materials supports the cleaning process; those supplies alone do not guarantee disinfection. If high-touch surface disinfection is part of your request, identify it when the scope is discussed.

The same distinction applies to visible mould. Recurring growth or moisture damage may need specialist assessment and correction of the underlying cause. Health Canada’s moisture and mould guide explains why cleaning a surface does not solve a persistent moisture problem.

What you need to prepare

You do not need to buy ordinary cleaning supplies for the agreed Arvand service. Preparing access and sharing information is more useful:

  1. Confirm your location, rooms and requested tasks.

  2. Arrange entry and any parking or building requirements.

  3. Clear practical access to counters and floors where possible.

  4. Tell us about fragile finishes, existing damage and special care instructions.

  5. Identify pets, product preferences and any fragrance sensitivity.

  6. Confirm any appliance interiors, window work or shampooing you want included.

  7. Discuss access to electricity and water when the selected work requires them.

For a Toronto condo, let us know about concierge access and applicable building arrangements. For a multi-level house in Aurora or elsewhere in York Region, specify stairs and basement rooms. These details help us plan the work and equipment without relying only on the bedroom count.

Supplies are included; the service scope still matters

Bringing tools does not mean every possible task is part of one cleaning appointment. Window washing, carpet shampooing, appliance interiors, wall washing and exterior work may require separate time and pricing.

Ask for the rooms and tasks to be confirmed in your estimate. The booking should make clear which services are covered, how the labour is calculated and whether any selected extras are priced separately.

For help choosing the service, read regular cleaning versus deep cleaning. For scheduling and team size, read how long house cleaning takes.

Questions to ask before your appointment

Useful questions go beyond whether the company owns a particular machine:

  • Which method will be used on my specific surface?

  • Are the rooms and appliance interiors I requested included?

  • Which cleaning materials are single-use?

  • Should I clear or empty anything beforehand?

  • Does the selected service require drying time afterward?

  • What result is realistic for a stained or damaged area?

For example, a sofa needing shampooing may require a different service from routine upholstery vacuuming. A kitchen with heavy grease needs a defined cleaning scope, not merely confirmation that a powerful product is available.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to provide a vacuum cleaner?

No. Arvand brings vacuum equipment appropriate to the booked work. Let us know about delicate flooring or other special instructions beforehand.

Do you bring cleaning products and tools?

Yes. We supply the products, tools and equipment for the agreed service. Confirm specialty work and any product preference when requesting your quote.

Are kitchen and bathroom cleaning materials disposable?

Yes. Arvand uses single-use cleaning materials for kitchen and bathroom work. This refers to consumable materials, not reusable equipment such as vacuums or steam machines.

Do you have hot-steam cleaning machines?

Yes. We have powerful hot-steam equipment, used where suitable for the surface and agreed cleaning task. Steam is not appropriate for every material.

Can I request my own preferred product?

Tell us before the appointment. We can discuss suitability, manufacturer instructions and whether it meets the needs of the selected task.

Does bringing shampoo equipment mean carpet cleaning is included?

No. Carpet or upholstery shampooing should be requested explicitly and confirmed in the quote. Ordinary vacuuming is a different task.

Can powerful equipment remove every stain?

No. Results depend on the material, residue and condition. Permanent staining, worn finishes and damage may need specialist treatment or repair rather than more cleaning.
